WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Wheel Alignment call 01582 486700

Did you know we offer a FREE WHEEL ALIGNMENT check on all makes and models of cars?

This will actually save you more money than you think.

Wheel alignment (also known as tracking or steering geometry) is essential for three main reasons: -

Reducing Tyre Wear

Improper alignment is a major cause of premature tyre wear. Over the years, a properly aligned vehicle can add thousands of miles to tyre life.

Better Fuel Mileage

An increase in rolling resistance causes poor fuel mileage. Full alignment along with correctly inflated tyres minimizes rolling resistance, thus improving mpg.

Improved Handling

Does your car pull to one side? Do you constantly have to move the steering wheel to keep your car traveling straight ahead? Many handling problems can be corrected by full alignment. With all the system components aligned properly, road shock is absorbed more efficiently for a smoother ride.

Our equipment is the most up-to-date and accurate on the market and is approved by many major car manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen/Audi Group, Aston Martin, Bentley and Porsche.

A check and/or adjustment can be carried out to suit your convenience. You can book your car in and wait in the pleasant, welcoming environment of our customer lounge, or return when we have completed the job.

HERE'S WHAT WE DO: -

For vehicles with adjustable rear suspension

  1. Angle readings are measured at all four wheels.
  2. The steering is centred (see diagram 1).
  3. Front wheels are referenced to rear thrust line and set to specifications.

RESULT: ALL FOUR WHEELS ARE PARALLEL AND THE STEERING WHEEL IS CENTRED.

For vehicles with non-adjustable rear suspension

  1. Angle readings are measured at all four wheels.
  2. Rear wheels are set to specification. (Rear thrust line corresponds to vehicle centre line.)
  3. Steering wheel is centred (see diagram 2).
  4. Front wheels are referenced to the rear thrust line and set to specification.

RESULT: ALL FOUR WHEELS ARE POSITIONED STRAIGHT AHEAD AND PARALLEL, AND THE STEERING WHEEL IS CENTRED.
